USC ENGINEERING COMPETITION NEWS: The JICHS Project Lead The Way Students won the following awards at the USC Engineering Competition this past weekend. LET'S GO TROJANS!!
The Introduction to Engineering Design Team consisting of Tradd Horne, Laura Rollins and Greg Quisenberry won Best Presentation

The Principles of Engineering Team consisting of Marybeth Lundquist, Cayce Blizard and Htoo Paing won Best Design
The Digital Electronics Team of Anthony Cargile, True Hines and Elitra Pinkney won 1st Place Overall.
CITADEL BRIDGE COMPETITION NEWS: Our JICHS Project Lead The Way students participated in the Bridge Competition on February 27th. JI won 13 out of the possible 15 trophies! Way to go Trojans!!
SOUTHERN INTERSCHOLASTIC PRESS ASSOCIATION NEWS: Congratulations to our School Newspaper, Literary Magazine and Broadcast Journalism Classes. They won the following awards at the SIPA Conference at USC this past weekend.

DECA NEWS: Our JICHS DECA Chapter had a great showing at our state competitions. The chapter had the following top ten finalists:
Hart Blackwelder, Graham Hartley, Spencer Williams, Ariel Long (5th Place) and Carlie Maute (4th Place)
There are 4 chapter members that qualified for our National DECA Competition in Louisville, KY:
Taylor Honney, 3rd Place
Raven Adams, 3rd Place
Chris Tate, 3rd Place
A Special congratulations to our own Megan Morgan who took home 1st place overall in our event and 3rd place overall in the DECA Quiz Bowl.
"Soles for Souls" sponsored by Yoga, Surf, and Recycling Clubs during the month of March. Drop off sites are in the Main Office, Library, Guidance, Coach Boland's Room and Ms. Lee's Room. Bring in your old shoes that you no longer fit into. Help us reach our goal of 1000 shoes before Spring Break. We've challenged West Ashley and Wando and they have accepted! Let's go Trojans!!
COLOR GUARD NEWS: Join Color Guard, Tuesdays after school in the Band Room from 3:30 - 5:30.
PROM INFORMATION: Prom tickets will be sold on Thursdays and Fridays during both lunch periods in the cafeteria. Last day to purchase tickets is Friday, April 30, 2010. If your guest is not a JICHS student, the guest permission slip is due to your administrator by April 30, 2010 as stated on your form.
Prom is on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Double Tree Hotel downtown.
JUNIOR BOARD MEETING DATE CHANGE: The Junior Board will beet briefly every MONDAY after school in T5.
