This is my 21st year teaching in the public schools of South Carolina. I have taught at Lamar High School, Summerville High School, Fort Dorchester High School, and Wando High School. Originally, I am from Camden, South Carolina. My undergraduate degree is from Clemson, University. I have a Master's degree in Secondary School Counseling that I obtained from The Citadel. I am Nationally Board Certified in Early Adolescent/Young Adulthood English/Language Arts. I taught English for 18 years and loved every minute of it (almost). This is my fourth year at JICHS and my third year as the IB Coordinator. I am a firm believer in an integrated curriculum and the unique learning opportunities that the IB Program provides. I am thrilled to be in this position. I think I have the best job in CCSD!
