I suppose my love of literature began during my own high school experience, but my desire to share that love didn't occur to me until after I graduated from college. That must make me a bit of a late bloomer!
Since 2002, I have taught English I to students in Charleston. I didn't choose to specialize in teaching freshmen, but I am glad that this opportunity has presented itself. I love the fact that I am able to introduce ninth graders to literature, and hopefully set the tone for their appreciation of the written word.
